Send Customized Dimension To The Universal Analytics Account
Internalize for Google Analytics (formerly Google Analytics Internalizer) is a browser extension that allows you to tag your visit to a Universal Analytics enabled site as internal traffic. It has a built-in feature to block unwanted internal traffic from coming from the site.
The installation process is as simple as downloading the file from Google Play and installing the extension. Once you have done that, you can use the extension to send a custom dimension with the value “true” to the Universal Analytics account of the page you are browsing. This custom dimension can then be used as a profile filter in Google Analytics to block out unwanted internal traffic.
When the extension is installed, it sends a unique index number to Google Analytics with the value “true”. This will only work for the first time you use the extension. If you want to use it more than once, you will have to uninstall the extension and install it again.
